Universite Cheikh Anta Diop de Dakar

The Laboratoire d’Analyse des Politiques de Developpement (LAPD) of Cheikh Anta Diop University in Senegal is a non-profit whose main goal is to promote evidence-based policies in Africa, through capacity building and policy-oriented research, and outreach. More specifically, the Institute aims at making substantial contributions to scientific research supporting policymaking; research diffusion and events organisation and management, capacity building in the field of economic management, and international partnerships to promote Africa’s development. LAPD is composed mainly of professors for University Cheikh Anta Diop (Dakar, Senegal) and has as its main goal to promote evidence-based policies in Africa, through capacity building and policy-oriented research, and outreach. To achieve its mission, LAPD builds on an important research potential leaning on high-quality researchers from Africa and elsewhere in the world, in the area of sustainable development; a large network of international partners including researchers, donors, government officials and NGOs; and an organisational structure suitable both to the imperatives of transparency and effectiveness in its management.
